Coulson Aviation Teams Featured in the Press

With contracts for aerial firefighting across the world, the work of the Coulson Aviation team has been featured in the aviation industry and media recently.

Fire Aviation  

Coulson Group CEO Wayne Coulson spoke to Fire Aviation, giving an insight into the Coulson fleet and the company's work in Chile, Australia and the US. He also spoke about the new facility at Thermal in Palm Springs and the way Coulson continues to innovate to give customers and communities the best outcomes the organization can.

Today Show – Ch.9 Australia 

The Today Show spoke to the emergency services personnel in New South Wales, Australia who were involved in the flood rescue of a man and five puppies.     

It’s a privilege for Coulson Aviation Australia team members to work with such dedicated emergency services agencies as part of their role operating some of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft.

For this rescue, the Bell 412 helicopter team was deployed by RFS to assist at the request of the NSW State Emergency Service.  

The floods in some parts of New South Wales continue to have a large community impact.  

With acknowledgement to the Channel 9's Today Show and emergency services for highlighting the effort.


 

Australian Aviation 

Coulson Group CEO Wayne Coulson spoke to Australian Aviation in a wide-ranging interview about the background of the family company and Coulson Aviation’s continued focus on innovation. The experience of the company during the devastating Black Saturday bushfires in Australia in 2009 solidified their push for innovation in aerial firefighting, including the focus on night fire operations and intelligence gathering.  

Air Med and Rescue 

Coulson Aviation Vice President and Coulson Aviation Australia CEO Britt Coulson talks to AirMed and Rescue about having diversified the Coulson fleet over time to include the C130 Hercules and Boeing 737 FIRELINER to respond to customer needs in managing more frequent wildfires. Read more here.

The Age  

Mighty Chinook aerial firebomber N42CU was a major attraction in the celebrations for 100 Years of Essendon Airport, Melbourne in Australia in late March. This one was based in Victoria, at Essendon Airport for the summer and will return again next Australian summer season.  Read more here.
